Poet, dramatist, editor, historian, translator, classicist, biographer, novelist and critic. Author of over 100 books. Born and raised in Australia, Lindsay migrated to England in 1926, where he co-founded the Fanfrolico Press with Jack Kirtley and P.R. Stephenson.
